The University of Central Florida’s Parking and Transportation Services department is seeking a full-time enforcement parking supervisor.
Responsible to the Facilities Coordinator for providing office support on a daily basis. Assist parking enforcement with the patrolling of the university’s parking lots and garages to ensure vehicles are in compliance with the university’s parking regulations. Responsible for maintaining fair and equitable parking enforcement through established Florida statues and local/state ordinances. Has knowledge of daily events and communicates pertinent information to the parking enforcement staff. Issues parking citations for illegally parked vehicles. Ensures that all equipment, flashlights, envelopes, batteries, two way radio, patrol vehicles, and other equipment are signed in and out on a daily basis.
Enforces parking regulations to ensure vehicles parked on campus are in compliance with UCF parking regulations and Florida state statutes. Ensures that parking control devices, such as, immobilization devices, battery jump start packs, and door opening kits are inventoried and operational. Researches and installs immobilization devices on vehicles that have multiple unpaid citations or other outstanding parking violations. Assists with providing information, directions, and general assistance to constituents. Renders assistance to stranded motorist, unlocks vehicles as requested, provide fuel if needed, or call a tow truck.
Provides feedback of enforcement situations to intermediate supervisor and follows up with all written requests. Reports suspicious behavior and activity directly to university police department. Assists in the training of new parking patrollers. Reports hazards and assists with basic maintenance of parking lots and garages during non-peak periods. Inventories office supplies, orders materials as needed, registers and issue uniforms and other related equipment. Oversees locker assignments, patrol vehicle assignments, and citation palm pilots issuance. Conducts new student orientation when necessary.
Initiates towing of illegally parked vehicles in 24 hours reserved spaces or other restricted areas. Assists with towing vehicles form unauthorized areas for football game days. Assists in completing towing reports and communicates to necessary parties of the said towed vehicle. Archives compulsory documentation associated with the towing of vehicles. Assists with space reservations for special guests or events operations as needed.
Serves as the department’s representative and secondary contact for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Assists with special transportation logistics during events and disasters ordered by the Emergency Operations Center. Provides other duties as directed by the supervisor.
