FPTA is pleased to announce that it is accepting Director at Large nominations (four positions open) for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020. The nominations are for regular or affiliate members in good standing. Board service is a chance to grow personally and professionally, to develop skills, gain unique experience and make lasting connections with a team of passionate and motivated professionals. Board service also provides these unique opportunities:
Develop valuable skills in non-profit governance, program planning and strategic planning
Expand your network of professional contacts
Gain recognition from your employer, community and peers
Nominees can self-nominate or be nominated by another individual. All candidate applications will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee who will develop and present a Slate of Candidates to the FPTA membership by November 2nd for the annual election. Therefore, we need your nominations to be sent no later than Friday, October 26th, 2018.
We hope that you, or someone you know, will consider serving in a leadership capacity and make a positive impact on the profession and association. Nomination process is simple. Send Chester Escobar (see below) an email with the following information:
1. Name of Nominee
2. Current Nominee’s contact information – email and cell phone
3. Nominee’s place of employment, title, and length of time at this current position
4. Quick description of the Nominee’s attributes and reason for nomination
