The FPTA 2019 Mid-Year Educational Seminar is in the books, and participants got great value for their involvement.
With a new, two-day format, the program started on the afternoon of Thursday, July 25th at the beautiful University of North Florida Campus. The facilities were impressive and modern.
After a gregarious welcome by UNF Chief of Police, Frank Mackesy, participants were presented with an in-progress case study implementing autonomous buses, how to become a better leader by employing emotional intelligence, and the new role of customer service in automated world.
Thursday evening was capped off with a networking dinner, presented by the FPTA, Flowbird, Amano McGann, Miami Parking Authority, and Pay by Phone. The location and dinner was eclectic and fun, much like the attendees and conversation. A great way to end the first day.
Friday, July 26th allowed participants to be exposed to parking structure maintenance and a case study in how a secret shopper program can be successful. In addition, a wonderful tour of the UNF campus was arranged.
Friday also marked the kick-off of the Carol Easterling Awards for 2019, encouraging involvement and recognition of our industry’s front-line staff…nomination will be held later this fall and recognition at the FPTA Annual Conference and Tradeshow in December…so, stay tuned for additional updates.
The involvement for this event by FPTA members, sponsors, and speakers was outstanding and is a great testimony of the strength of the FPTA.
